Samson first opened in 1894 in a tiny corner shop at Egertorget [in Oslo]. The little bakery where freshly baked bread and pastries was sent up from the basement soon became a neighborhood favorite.

As years passed and times changed, so did Samson. The little bakery grew bigger and time imposed changes that in turn led to lower quality products.

Fast forward to 2008 and the bakery had lost touch with the character and charm that once defined them. Together we set out to rebuild Samson as the classic bakery it once was.

As of 2021 we have now worked on every aspect of the business to make sure the local favorite is still the local favorite. Samson’s unwavering approach to quality is now reflected in everything associated with the brand. The owners have been brave throughout and continues to impress by making it seemingly simple to make difficult decisions.
